Consultation
Step 1
At this phase of the design we meet with our clients to discuss the type of building we would be designing. Character, form and function, along with, how the building would sit on the proposed lot would also be discussed. Applicable building codes, zoning, engineering requirements and budget are brought to light at this stage. We encourage all of our clients to bring their design ideas, wants, must haves and a collage of images to this initial non-obligatory meeting.
Work + Play
Step 2
At this phase of the design we prepare preliminary floor plans based on our initial discussions. We ask that our clients review the drawings carefully and provide us with any comments. We will make any necessary revisions to the drawings, prepare schematic elevations and locate the building on the site plan.

Step 3
Any further revisions to the preliminary drawings are made, and re-submitted for final review and approval. At this point, drawings can be distributed to your Contractor for comments and / or preliminary pricing. If you do not already have a Contractor selected, we can assist you in finding an appropriate one that you will be comfortable working with. Once sign - off on drawings takes place, we begin to prepare the construction drawings.

Step 4
During this stage, contract drawings are prepared which can be used to submit for Building Permit applications. These are the drawings that a Contractor will use to build your house. If any further changes are requested once this stage of the design has been started, they will be billed at our standard hourly rate.

Step 5
Our services do not have to end here. We can assist you through the construction phase of your project as well.
